Mark’s Monday Evening Weather Report

I know it’s not what most of you want to see but unfortunately it’s all we’ve got.  Yes I am talking about more wind on the way over the next few days.  Highs tomorrow will be in the high 70′s with mostly sunny skies.  The winds will gust as high as 35 mph here in the city.  Across eastern NM it will be even worse.  Winds there will top out over 40 mph.

By Wednesday as our next storm rolls through winds will be gusty statewide.  The beat chance for showers will be over the northern mountains and NW plateau.  But even that doesn’t look like a significant soaking at this point.  The big weather change by Thursday will be sharply cooler temps for at least a day.  Highs on Thursday will be in the high 60′s, some 25° cooler than our weekend highs.

Here is a look at where the models feel the showers will be located.  As you can tell by this image most of the action will indeed be north of the state. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
