Thousands take part in Run for the Zoo

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Thousands laced up and hit the pavement Sunday morning for the annual Run for the Zoo.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect for the event that included a half marathon, 10K, 5K and a 1K fun walk.

The run helps raise money for the ABQ BioPark and Tingley Beach.

We don’t know how many participated, but last year 12,000 people took part.
