Drones could be banned from NM hunting

Roswell looks into drone pilot training

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – New Mexico could soon be the next state to outlaw the use of drones for hunting.

The New Mexico Game Commission is expected to take a vote this month on a proposal that would make the practice illegal.

According to the Santa Fe New Mexican, wildlife experts hope New Mexico will shoot down the idea of hunters using drones to target their prey. They say hunting should be based on skill and tradition.

Alaska, Colorado and Montana already made it illegal to use of drones in hunting.
