FBI investigates 2 ABQ bank robberies

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Two Albuquerque banks were robbed Saturday prompting an FBI investigation.

According to the FBI, the first reported robbery was at Bank of America in the 6603 block of 4th Street northwest.

Officials say the suspect linked to this robbery is described as a Hispanic male in his early 40s. He was wearing a leather hat, long black coat and sunglasses.

A $1,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the suspect described above.

The second robbery Saturday occurred at Wells Fargo in the 100 block of Juan Tabo. Officials say the suspect in this incident is described as a Hispanic male, who was wearing a dark jacket and brown pants.

Officials do not know if the two incidents are related at this time.
