NMSU could raise admission requirements

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (KRQE) – New admission requirements could be on the way for incoming students at New Mexico State University.

NMSU’s faculty senate voted in favor of a proposal which would raise admission requirements Thursday for students starting fall 2016.

Some changes include raising the GPA from 2.5 to 2.75.

The proposal now awaits a decision by NMSU president before going to the regents for final approval.
