2 pedestrians in critical condition after hit-&-runs

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A busy intersection near UNM is back open after what looks like a hit and run crash with a pedestrian.

Somebody flagged down an ambulance on Lomas near University Thursday night and paramedics found a woman who looks like she was hit by a car, but the car had taken off.

The woman was rushed to UNM Hospital, where Albuquerque police say she’s in critical condition and may not survive.

There was another crash early Thursday in the evening. A man was trying to cross Menaul in a non-crosswalk area near Moon.

Cops say he was clipped by a vehicle that knocked him to the ground.

While he was lying in the street another vehicle ran over him and then took off. The second vehicle could be a Ford Ranger.

That man is in critical condition.
