Santa Fe approves new restrictions for buskers

SANTA FE (KRQE) – Santa Fe is imposing new restrictions on street performers.

The restrictions unanimously approved last night by the city council are in response to complaints by vendors and businesses in the plaza that musicians, jugglers and other performers can be aggressive and disruptive.

The new restrictions include a requirement that performers stay at least 50 feet away from each other and other vendors.

There are also restrictions on when they can perform.

It goes into effect May 12th.
