ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The old rail yards will come back to life this Sunday thanks to a neighborhood market. .
The yards near downtown have been abandoned for years.
The city bought the place for $8.5 million seven years ago but hasn’t done much with it.
But now volunteers are ready to open a growers’ market that’s planned to operate every Sunday called the Rail Yards Market.
Organizers hope sales will help them grow the market over time.
