Kid accidentally shares pot-laced candy with classmate

RIO RANCHO, N.M. (KRQE) – Rio Rancho Public Schools say a high school school student thought he was just sharing an ordinary piece of candy with one of his classmates, but it turns out it was laced with pot.

KRQE News 13 has learned the Rio Rancho High School student brought the candy from home.

One of his parents is a licensed pot grower in the state’s medical marijuana program and had made some marijuana candy.

The boy’s classmate was sent to the hospital but is fine.
