ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The first democratic governor candidate to buy TV spots has hit the airwaves.
Lawrence Rael, who ran Albuquerque city government as chief administrative officer for 12 years, released a 30 second spot Wednesday.
The ad is called contrasts but doesn’t name his four primary opponents or Governor Martinez.
UNM Political Science Professor Gabe Sanchez says it’s a big step with the democratic primary a little more than a month away.
Governor Martinez, who has no primary opposition, has already aired two TV spots.
