ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Four time PGA Tour winner Notah Begay III suffered a heart attack last Thursday and is recovering at his home in Dallas, Texas.
Begay, who is currently a golf analyst for The Golf Channel and NBC Sports, is expected to make a full recovery. He has spent a lot of his time outside the game, working on the health of others, helping Native American youth deal with childhood obesity through athletics and awareness with the NB3 Foundation.
Begay released a statement addressing his situation.
He said, “I anticipate a full recovery and feel lucky to be at home resting with my family. I appreciate the outpouring of well wishes I’ve received from family, friends and fans, and I will be back covering golf once I’m fully recovered.”
Begay is hosting a charity golf tournament coming up in New Mexico in June.
