Man found with bombs faces federal charges

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An Albuquerque man, who was found with an arsenal of bombs at his home, is now facing federal charges.

APD’s bomb squad raided Adrian Griego’s southeast Albuquerque home earlier this month.

Officers say they found ready-to-light explosives in two backyard buildings, including a homemade explosive with CO2 cartridges, rifle powder and a fuse as well as pipe bombs and other bombs that used nails as shrapnel.

Police believe what they found was intended to hurt or kill someone.

They say Griego has told others he doesn’t like cops.

Griego is now in federal custody.
