Crash causes fuel spill

VALENCIA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – Emergency responders were at the scene of a messy crash Sunday night between a freight train and a diesel truck.

According to state police, about 4,500 gallons of diesel spilled at the crash site on the 600 block of Jarales Road in Valencia County.

The driver of the truck was not hurt.

State police say there is no threat to the surrounding area.
