SF realtor uses drones for advertising

SANTA FE (KRQE) – A realtor in Santa Fe is taking his business to new heights by using drones.

Agent Brian Tercero says he’s been using a drone to help advertise homes on the market in and around the capitol city.

Tercero says video footage from a drone can better highlight a property’s appeal than standard marketing.

Tercero’s idea is not welcome by some, including the Federal Aviation Administration which has banned the use of drones for commercial purposes except in cases of those with special agency permission.

However, a federal judge has ruled that drones for commercial use don’t fall under FAA regulations.

Tercero says it should be legal for him to use a drone as long as homeowners say it’s OK.
