Rain, sleet help contain Sulpher Fire

TIJERAS, N.M. (KRQE) – A small fire that broke out around 5:20 p.m. Saturday was contained within about six hours.

The Cibola National Forest Service says even though winds were strong when the Sulpher Fire burned, rain and sleet helped stop it from growing.

The cause of the fire in unknown, and firefighters are investigating.
