Santa Fe airport conducts disaster training

SANTA FE (KRQE) – Dozens of victims, family members wanting answers and first responders told it was a plane crash.

It almost seemed like a real-life disaster but this was an exercise at the Santa Fe Airport Saturday.

Local fire, police and even the Army Air National Guard were involved in the training exercise.

First responders tended to 45 volunteer patients who were then rushed to local hospitals.

City of Santa Fe says the disaster exercise is required by the FAA every three years provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
