High winds, blowing dust plague city

The city’s skyline was covered in a dusty haze Saturday afternoon and all across town people are holding on to their hats.

Flags were flying and umbrellas were flying in Nob hill Saturday.

And to the west side, the volcanoes were clouded in that same dusty haze.

Along Central in the heart of downtown the wind was everywhere, catching trees and people out for a stroll.

And as the day goes on, those gusts grow in size and speed.

The city has issued a health alert which is set to expire at 9:00 p.m. for blowing dust which is definitely something to keep in mind if you were planning on participating in any outdoor activities.

KRQE News 13 will continue to track the storm, we will have more at 10.
