FBI, APD investigate ABQ bank robbery

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Investigators say a male suspect walked into a U.S. Bank in the 8200 block of Golf Course northwest Saturday morning and walked out with money that did not belong to him.

The FBI said the man entered the bank at approximately 10:15 Saturday morning, pointed a gun at bank employees and ordered two tellers to put money into a bag.

Investigators have released surveillance photos of the suspect who is believed to be a Hispanic male who was wearing sunglasses, a black hoodie, blue sweatpants and had a blue and white bandana covering his face. Officials say he is approximately 5 foot 6 to 5 foot 7 inches tall with a medium build and short hair.

The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was last seen walking west across Petroglyph Plaza.

If you have information about the incident, contact the FBI at 505-889-1300. Information leading to an arrest and conviction could be eligible for a $1,000 reward.
