Police investigate drive-by shooting

FARMINGTON, N.M. (KRQE) – Farmington police are investigating a drive-by shooting that may have been prompted by road rage.

According to police, a woman was followed home Wednesday evening after she pulled out of a Piedra Vista High School and nearly hit another car.

The woman said she saw something long sticking out of the car that followed her and then heard a gunshot. She was not injured.

Police detained an 18-year-old man for questioning after locating a car allegedly involved in the shooting, but at this point, those are the only details they’re releasing.
