Man gets 6 years for DWI crash that killed passenger

SHIPROCK, N.M. (KRQE) – A Shiprock man has taken a plea deal in a drunk driving crash that killed his passenger last year.

Wednesday 39-year-old Alvert Miller pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter in the rollover crash near Littlewater, New Mexico last April.

His 53-year-old passenger was thrown from the truck and killed.

Miller will spend six years in prison for his friends’ death.
