Lobos Guard “Pancake” Thomas granted release

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Sophomore guard Cleveland “Pancake” Thomas saw his minutes start to dwindle once true freshman Cullen Neal and ju-co transfer Deshawn Delaney starter to emerge.

Wednesday, the University of New Mexico basketball program has granted Thomas’ release from the program. “Pancake” is hoping to land a starting role and will have two years of eligibility left. He averaged 3.9 points, 2.4 rebounds in 15.2 minutes of action.

In other Lobos hoops news, according to verbalcommits.com New Mexico has offered New Zeleander Tohi Smith-Milner a scholarship. The 6’9″ power forward has also received an offer from St.Mary’s.
