Lobo athlete accused of rape appears in court

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Crusoe Gongbay, the UNM football player accused of raping a fellow student appeared in court Wednesday afternoon to face rape charges. He’s already bonded out of jail.

Another man, Ryan Ruff, a former student, is still in police custody. He appeared in court Tuesday.

Ruff, Gongbay and a third man are accused of picking up the victim from a party then driving off in Ruff’s car where they each took turns raping her.

The third man involved still hasn’t been identified.

We will have a reporter in the courtroom for Crusoe’s appearance and have much more later KRQE News 13.
