Boxing veteran Munoz takes fight in 2-weeks notice

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Team Tapia’s 35-year-old boxing veteran Hector Munoz will be back in the ring this Saturday versus 23-year-old Jermall Charlo.

After a May 2nd fight fell through, Munoz agreed to fight Charlo with just two weeks notice.

Munoz is also moving up two weight classes to fight the younger fighter in Carson, California on the undercard of Keith Therman vs. Julio Diaz fight that will be aired on Showtime.

In 2013, Munoz was also featured on former boxer Fernando Vargas’ reality tv show “Welcome to Los Vargas” on Mun2.tv as Munoz prepared for his bout versus Hector Camacho Jr., which he won.
