Some ABQ schools get national recognition

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Some Albuquerque schools are being recognized by U.S. News and World report for a job well done.

La Cueva, Albuquerque High, Eldorado, Volcano Vista and Sandia High schools, along with early college academy all received a gold medal from the news agency.

The medals were based on the schools performance on state assessments and how well they prepare students for college.

Student teacher ratio was also considered.
