The children’s hard work could pay off big this year, there are a number of prizes including a vacation to Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Florida or a balloon ride.

Some well known New Mexicans tried to help give them a boost Tuesday.

The New Mexico True summer reading challenge is open to all New Mexico elementary school children ages five through 12.
