Martinez seeks to reduce underage drinking

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Monday, the governor and others made a push to reduce underage drinking.

According to Mothers Against Drunk Driving students who are told the dangers of drinking by their parents are 80 percent less likely to engage in underage drinking.

Now mad is encouraging parents to set a zero tolerance policy in their households

MADD joined the governor and students Monday at Rio Grande High school where some students won the Party like MADD photo and essay contest.

“What it means to win is, it’s actually really fun because I don’t drink personally and I know that if I drink it’d lead to bad things,” Vanessa Loya said.
