Lawsuit against city manager settled

BLOOMFIELD, N.M. (KRQE) – A lawsuit accusing Bloomfield’s city manager of sexual harassment is settled.

The Daily Times reports city manager David Fuqua and the city of Bloomfield settled the suit for $200,000.

Two former city employees filed the litigation in U.S. District Court in 2012.

The complaints included claims of sexual discrimination and harassment, wrongful termination and retaliation.

Fuqua says all the charges against him were dropped but the insurance company chose to settle.

Fuqua is the subject of another sexual harassment lawsuit filed last year.
