Johnny Depp and NM a bad combo?

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Are New Mexico and Johnny Depp a bad combo?

It appears another one of the actor’s New Mexico made movies is a flop.

The sci-fi flick “Transcendence” opened in fourth place over the Easter weekend, only bringing in $10.9 million.

It was filmed last year around the Albuquerque area.

Depp’s big-budget movie “The Lone Ranger” didn’t do what Disney was hoping. It brought in less than expected and caused Disney to take a huge write-down on the movie.

It was filmed in the Rio Puerco Valley and near Shiprock.
