NM Michaels customers at risk in latest card breach

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – If you shop at Michaels stores in New Mexico, hackers may have access to your credit card information.

The popular arts and crafts store is finally talking about a huge security breach.

The store confirms hackers used high tech malware to steal customers’ credit and debit account information.

Approximately 2.6 million cards may have been compromised over the last eight months dating back to May 2013.

The company has put a list out showing what stores were targeted and the dates.

Both Albuquerque locations and the Santa Fe store are on it.
