NM a part of Good Friday’s world celebrations

TOMÉ, NM (KRQE) – Around the world, Christians are coming together in observance of Good Friday, which they believe was the day Jesus was crucified.

Hundreds of people in New Mexico make the trek up Tomé Hill to show their faith in the annual pilgrimage. The top of the hill is a spot for prayer, drawing people from all over the state, young and old.

Many walkers just starting to get out Friday morning at the base of the hill are dedicating their journey to a loved one.
