Jui-jitsu suspect wanted for major NM pot bust

Jui-jitsu suspect also wanted for major NM pot bust

TAOS, N.M. (KRQE) – The suspect who used his jiu-jitsu skills on a state police officer may have put up a fight because he has been wanted for years for a huge pot plantation.

This is dash cam video of the high-speed chase Shae Russell Nakai Blair caused near Taos last month.

It started when a state police officer tried to stop him for speeding.

When he was finally pulled over, Blair put up a fight and took the officer down.

Blair was eventually arrested.

KRQE News 13 has learned Blair is also connected to a $1 million pot bust in Socorro county.

Back in 2010 police found 1,500 pot plants growing along the Rio Grande.

A warrant had been issued for Blair’s arrest in the case.
