Ex-cop accused of murder, intimidation

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – In addition to murder, a dirty cop with ties to the notorious Bandidos motorcycle gang is accused of intimidating anyone who might testify against him..

Once on Gov. Toney Anaya’s security detail, Jack McDowell and his son are also accused of murdering a Rio Rancho man.

According to the Albuquerque Journal, court documents indicate McDowell is also suspected of being a gun runner and a meth dealer.

The affidavit, which was originally sealed, details the 18-month investigation that led to the 57-year-old’s arrest in January 2013 and the arrest of his son John.

Both entered not guilty pleas.
