SF museum will screen Star Wars in Navajo language

SANTA FE (KRQE) – A premier screening is set in Santa Fe this weekend for a unique version of Star Wars Episode Four, A New Hope.

This version is all in Navajo and is the first movie ever dubbed into a Native American language.

The screenings are Friday at one and six at the Museum of Indian Arts and Culture in Santa Fe.

Supporters say the Navajo version is important because it help’s keep the language alive.
