Leaders gather for day 2 of water town hall

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – A precious commodity in the southwest will be the talk again Wednesday at a town hall meeting for the state’s leaders in Albuquerque.

They’re focusing on New Mexico’s aging water infrastructure, conservation and planning for crisis situations.

The state has weathered the drought in the last few years with last-minute water sharing agreements and watering restrictions.

Leaders say that’s good, but not good enough, and water woes solutions should be more coordinated and comprehensive.
