LULAC convention planned for May

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The shooting death of homeless man James Boyd was mentioned in the scathing report by the Department of Justice into APD.

Soon that DOJ report will be the hot topic at a civil rights convention.

LULAC was one of many advocacy groups pushing for the federal probe.

Now New Mexico LULAC officials say the DOJ report and education will be discussed at an upcoming convention in Las Cruces.

The convention will take place May 23-26. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
