ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – People will have their chance to weigh in on plans to build a huge transmission line from New Mexico to southern Arizona.
Developers say the Southline Transmission Project would improve the electrical grid and help distribute power from solar and wind.
BLM released a draft report about possible environmental effects of the project. The line would cross public and private property.
The comment period ends in July and several public meetings are scheduled.
