Chris’ Sunday Evening Forecast

Our second storm system is moving through and packing a real punch as it does so.   You likely felt and heard the winds on Sunday and it is going to remain breezy to windy overnight.   We could have strong canyon wind gusts overnight as a cold front continues to barrel through the state bringing much colder temperatures for Monday.

Snow and rain chances will continue along I-40 and to the north.   Accumulating snow will be focused in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and at the Raton Ridge.   So travel may be tough through the mountains and also between Las Vegas and Raton from tonight into early Monday morning.   Showers will taper by mid-morning and skies will begin clearing out with the winds coming down as well.   Another storm system moves in by Wednesday night.  Stay with KRQE News 13 for more weather updates.
