PORTALES, N.M. (KRQE) – Officials have identified the man who was shot and killed on the Eastern New Mexico University Roswell campus.
State police investigators found 22-year-old Marcus Dupree Monday night after getting a 911 call from the alleged gunman.
The student said two men had walked into his dorm room and he thought one of them was reaching for a gun so he shot at them.
Police have not said if Dupree was a student.
They do say it’s possible the killing was a result of a drug deal gone bad.
At this point the shooter has not been charged.
