ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Crews have been cleared to move a medical helicopter that crashed on UNM Hospital’s roof Wednesday.
UNM hospital officials say a pilot was injured in the crash. Two passengers and everyone else inside the hospital were unharmed.
Crews with PHI, the private company that owns the helicopter, are preparing to move the aircraft by a crane as early as Saturday morning.
“We are carefully planning this move to ensure the operation is safe and done with as little disruption as possible,” said UNM Hospital spokesman Billy Sparks.
