Chris’ Friday Afternoon Forecast

Winds return on Saturday especially for southern New Mexico.   Wind advisories are already posted for gusts from 45-55 mph.  Of course, this means the fire danger will be very high for much of central and southern New Mexico this weekend.  The winds are thanks to our first system of three that will pass through the region this weekend.

This first system will bring a slight chance for a few pop-up storms around the Four Corners on Saturday.   A stronger front will bring a better shot for rain/snow for the northern mountains and the northeast on Sunday along with more wind for central and southern New Mexico.
