Fire destroys Roswell railroad bridge

ROSWELL, N.M. (KRQE) – A Roswell railroad bridge was completely destroyed after a major fire Thursday.

According to Roswell Fire Department the fire began at approximately 2:30 Thursday afternoon at the railroad bridge at Hendricks and Lincoln.

RFD said the bridge allows trains to cross the river and although the line is active there was no train near the bridge at the time of the fire.

No one was injured in the incident.
