SF Mayor proposes pedestrian friendly project

SANTA FE (KRQE) – Santa Fe’s new mayor Javier Gonzales is proposing closing the popular plaza area to cars.

The idea was introduced tonight at the city council meeting.

He’s calling the idea people to the plaza.

If approved by the city council they would close all traffic on Lincoln Avenue, San Francisco Street and Old Santa Fe Trail.

Gonzales says this would make the plaza more pedestrian friendly.
