Game and Fish returns 3 bobcats to the wild

SANTA FE (KRQE) – The New Mexico Department of Game and Fish has returned three young bobcats to the wild.

One of the cats was found by a Santa Fe homeowner under a deck last spring after being left behind by its mother.

Another bobcat and two kittens were found in a barn in the area.

They were then rehabilitated at the wildlife center in Española until they were ready to take care of themselves.

The cats were released in the Glorieta Mesa area near Santa Fe. provides commenting to allow for constructive discussion on the stories we cover.
