ABQ firefighter who joked about APD shooting fired

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An Albuquerque firefighter who joked on Facebook about the APD shootings after James Boyd was shot killed in the foothills has been fired.

Kenneth Barncastle joked that he’d quit the fire department to join APD if they had a criminal population reduction unit.

AFD does have a social media policy and after an internal investigation Barncastle was given the axe.
