Experts launch ABQ beekeeping certification course

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An interesting educational program is being launched in Albuquerque.

The New Mexico beekeepers association has started the certified beekeepers apprentice program.

Experienced beekeepers will teach backyard beekeepers how to develop healthy, gentle hives suitable for urban farming in the metro area and how to manage a swarm.

After you complete the two year curriculum and 40 hours of volunteer service you’ll get your beekeepers certification.
