AFD investigates early morning apartment fire

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Fire officials are investigating after firefighters responded to a structure fire Saturday.

According to Albuquerque Fire Department, firefighters responded to the 6300 block of Indian School northeast at approximately 6:00 a.m. Upon arriving AFD said smoke and flames could be seen from a second story balcony of the apartment building.

AFD evacuated the building and was able to get the fire under control within 30 minutes.

No one was injured during the incident.
