EDDY COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – The suspect who led Eddy County Sheriff’s deputies on a high speed chase then caused a seven hour swat situation earlier this week has been charged.

A deputy tried to pull over 35-year-old Fabian Fierro around midnight Tuesday,

But deputies say Fierro and his 17-year-old passenger took off, leading authorities on a wild chase through town.

During the chase, someone inside the car fired shots outside the window.
