NM man who tortured children back in court

VALENCIA COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – A Valencia county man, who tortured his own children going as far as shocking them with an electric fence box, faced a judge Wednesday for violating his probation.

Anthony Welker was sentenced to four years in prison for the crime but served two years because of good time.

But authorities discovered now that he’s living in Missouri, he’s been around children which is a violation of his probation.

Welker was arraigned Wednesday on that charge and is now locked up again in Valencia County.

He is due back in court in May where a judge will determine if he’ll be sent back to prison for a longer stay.
