ABQ attorney to represent Chelsea Manning

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – Two Albuquerque attorneys have been hired by the army private serving time for leaking government secrets.

Nancy Hollander and her law partner Vincent Ward now represent Chelsea Manning in the next phase of her military court proceedings.

Manning, who now lives as a woman is serving a 35-year sentence in Kansas.

Hollander says Manning’s sentence is excessive a lot more than two and a half year prison terms others have served for the same crime.

Now Hollander has made news before for her high profile clients.

She once represented two other Guantanamo prisoners, claiming their rights had been violated.
