ABQ dealership settles same-sex lawsuit

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – An Albuquerque car dealership will pay $2 million to settle a same-sex sexual harassment lawsuit.

The suit alleges managers at Pitre Inc, which does business as Pitre Buick, inappropriately grabbed male employees, solicited them for sex and then retaliated against the ones who objected.

Federal investigators say 50 men will benefit from the settlement.

The company says the settlement doesn’t mean the dealership is guilty; it’s just trying to avoid trial costs and uncertainties.
